OLONGAPO CITY––At least 368 people have been arrested while more than 1.4 million pesos worth of illegal drugs were seized during week-long police operations in central Luzon, authorities said on Tuesday, April 5 .
In a report, Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said 138 of those arrested had outstanding warrants, while 118 were arrested for illegal drugs.
PRO3 said 106 people were arrested for illegal gambling, while six for other offences.
The arrests were made from March 28 to April 4, he said.
During the same period, 289 sachets containing suspected ‘shabu’ (crystal meth) worth 1.4 million pesos and 17 sachets of marijuana worth 240,000 pesos were seized from the suspects.
Police also confiscated 47,177 pesos in gambling money after raiding illegal gambling venues.
