3 siblings arrested for drug trafficking



Three siblings were arrested by police on Sunday during a shopping spree on Rivera Street in Brgy. 3, Kabankalan Town, Negros Occidental.

The three apprehended siblings, who now face charges of violating Republic Law 9165, have been identified by police as Emily Vicente, 43, and her two siblings, Ruel, 30 and Dunn, 28.

plt. Colonel Arnel Solis, spokesman for the regional police, revealed that the arrest of the Vicente siblings resulted in the obtaining of approximately 35 grams of alleged shabu with a market value of 238,000 pesos.

Solis said Ruel and Dunn had been labeled as high-value individuals while Emily was a newly identified drug personality in the town of Kabankalan.

Both Vicente brothers had previously been arrested for violating Republic Law 9165. However, both were later released from prison and resumed their illegal drug activities, he added.

Another buy-bust operation also resulted in the arrest of a drug suspect identified as Janro dela Torre, in Brgy yesterday. Guiljungan, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.

The arrest of 25-year-old dela Torre also revealed about two grams of alleged shabu with a market value of 13,600 pesos, money marked with 600 pesos and a Rusi Sport KRY motorcycle.

The four arrested suspects are now locked up in prison.*
