2 women report suspected illegal drugs worth 374,000 pesos in Bacolod
BACOLOD CITY – An elderly person and his companion were arrested after allegedly giving in for 374,000 pesos of alleged shabu during a buyout at Purok Mainuswagon, Barangay 30 here on Tuesday.
Police officers from the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) arrested Zenaida Samudio, 47, and her partner Erlinda Ubas, 65, with 55 grams of suspected illicit drugs in their possession. Both reside at Barangay 30.
Given the amount of illegal drugs found in the possession of the suspects, CDEU Chief Lt. Joeven Mogato said the two can be considered high-value individuals.
Mogato said Samudio was arrested for a drug offense in 2015 and released six years later after serving her sentence.
Ubas was arrested in 2018 for the same offense and later released by plea bargain. She is currently on probation, according to Mogato.
The two people arrested have not yet been reached for comment. They are being held at Police Station 6.
