Woman selling illegal ‘candy-like’ drugs arrested: police

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – A 25-year-old Dutchess County woman has been charged with selling illegal drugs, including crystal meth and crack cocaine.

The Dutchess County Drug Task Force said Cali A. Hamilton, 25, was arrested Thursday and charged with third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a felony.

Task force officers executed a warrant at the Red Roof Inn in the town of Poughkeepsie and seized a quantity of “candy-like” pills determined to be methamphetamine and a quantity of crack cocaine.

Hamilton was ordered to appear in Poughkeepsie City Court on November 16 to be arraigned.

The Dutchess County Drug Task Force was assisted by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Office.
