Week-long operations produce illegal drugs worth 2.6 million pesos in central Luzon

OLONGAPO CITY – More than 2.6 million pesos worth of illegal drugs have been confiscated during week-long anti-narcotics operations in central Luzon, police said Tuesday, October 18.

In a report, Regional Police Office 3 (PRO3) said the drug haul resulted from 124 operations from October 9 to 15 that also led to the arrest of 172 drug suspects in the area.

PRO3 said 194 most wanted people were also arrested during the same period.

Police also arrested 165 people for engaging in illegal gambling and 12 others for illegal possession of firearms.

At least 93,000 pesos in gambling money have been recovered in 37 anti-illegal gambling operations in the region over the past week, PRO3 added. INQ
