“Significant quantities” of illegal drugs discovered at home

The North Bay Police Department arrested and charged a 19-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman with drug trafficking offenses after finding “significant amounts of illegal drugs” at the residence.

The arrests took place last Saturday.

On October 15, as part of an independent investigation, police searched a house on Regina Street and found the two inside, who were arrested.

The police seized:

  • 16 grams of crystal meth
  • 9 grams of methamphetamine
  • 94 grams of cocaine
  • 17 grams of Fentanyl
  • 134 tablets of Benzodiazapine
  • Amount of money

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $23,000.

Tyler Campbell of North Bay is charged with:

  • Three counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Three counts of breach of sentence
  • Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Kayla Rose Martel of North Bay is charged with:

  • Three counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Two counts of breaching a bail order
  • Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Campbell and Martel were held pending a bail hearing at the North Bay courthouse.
