OLONGAPO CITY – More than 1.5 million pesos worth of illegal drugs were confiscated during various police operations in central Luzon last week.
Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said in a report that 235.77 grams of “shabu” (crystal methamphetamine) was seized from 151 suspects, who were arrested between October 31 and November 6.
The total value of the transport by the Dangerous Drug Board was set at P1,598,000, PRO3 said, adding that P24,300 of marijuana was also seized during the same period.
At least 400 other people were arrested last week, including fugitives facing murder, homicide and rape cases.
PRO3 said a further 90 people had been apprehended in a crackdown on illegal gambling in the area. INQ
