Franklin Co. man arrested for possession of illegal drugs and 18 firearms

FRANKLIN CO., Ala. (WAFF) – Investigators from the Franklin County Drug Task Force arrested Tyler Drake Roberson on Thursday evening for possession of illegal drugs and weapons.

The arrest comes after a month-long investigation, once enough information was secured investigators executed a search warrant at 364 Scott’s Landing Road in Hodges.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Roberson was selling illegal narcotics at the house.

During the search, investigators found methamphetamine, cocaine, synthetic cannabinoids, 18 firearms and more than $9,000 in cash.

Roberson is charged with unlawful possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, 2 counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (cocaine and synthetic cannabinoids) and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Additional charges may be added at a later date.

Roberson was transported and incarcerated in the Franklin County Jail without bail.

According to the FCSO, while being transported to jail, Roberson told a deputy he had cocaine and a small pipe hidden inside his pants, not in his pockets. He gave up smuggling before he got to prison.
