Foreigners report 3.4 million pesos worth of illegal drugs

FIVE foreign nationals were arrested by authorities in a buyout operation launched in Parañaque on Thursday afternoon.

The suspects have been identified as alias Stephen, 76, married, Chinese and a resident of 13A St. John Street New Tensuan Site; alias Wei, 47, single, Taiwanese, resident of 1711 Adriatico Malate Manila; alias Wai, 56, married, resident of Hong Kong; alias Liu, man and tenant of Marina Seaview Residences, Parañaque City; and aka Lele, male, also a tenant of Marina Seaview Residences, Parañaque City.

The operation, which was carried out jointly by officers led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Central Luzon, PDEA-NCR, PDEA-SES, Paranaque Police and SPD DEU-DID, was the product of a month of monitoring and surveillance.

The arrested suspects surrendered a blue box labeled Traditions Chest containing approximately 500 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) allegedly amounting to P3,450,000, marked money used by the poser buyer and other personal effects.

Violation of Section 5 (Selling Dangerous Drugs) in Relation to Section 26B (Conspiracy to Sell Drugs) of Republic Law 9165 will be filed against arrested suspects.
