Baguio arrests 3 foreigners for narcotics


CITY OF BAGUIO: Three foreign nationals who were previously on the list of high-value drug personalities were arrested here recently. Combined Police and Anti-Narcotics Officers found in their possession some seven sachets allegedly containing dried marijuana leaf while executing a search warrant at their residence in Pacdal here recently. Law enforcement authorities identified the foreign nationals arrested as Ephraim Samuel, 23; Jeremiah Ishaya, 21, and Amelia Paixao, 22. Investigators alleged that while executing a search warrant, joint officers from Pacdal Police Station 3 and the Regional Intelligence Unit discovered seven pieces of clear zipper from suspected dried marijuana leaves weighing more or less. 95 grams with a standard drug price of P11,400.00. The conduct of the inventory and marking of confiscated contraband was carried out in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Justice, village officers and the media. The individuals arrested and the evidence confiscated were brought to the Baguio City Police Department for detention and filing the appropriate charges against them in the City Attorney’s Office.
