8 Arrested, P1.2-M Illegal Drugs Seized In Central Luzon – Manila Bulletin


CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Authorities seized more than 1.2 million pesos worth of illegal drugs and arrested eight suspected drug traffickers in separate buying operations in Pampanga, Bulacan and Nueva Ecija on Thursday September 15 and Friday , September 16.

Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region III arrested Channy Zulueta, alias “Datu”; Ed Paulo Magbanua and Christina Marie Tan at Barangay Sta Monica, Floridablanca, Pampanga.

They produced five transparent heat-sealed sachets containing alleged shabu. In addition, the suspects had a plastic ice bag tied with a crystalline substance weighing approximately 130 grams with a Dangerous Drug Board estimated value of P884,000.

Edmond Pascual and Ramon Christopher Borris were taken into custody in Ibayo, Marilao, Bulacan. Heat-sealed clear plastic bags of suspected shabu weighing nearly 25.9 grams with an estimated DDB value of P176,120 were recovered.

In Barangay San Josef, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, Anyernel Reyes and Ronel Roxas were arrested and captured with seven transparent heat-sealed plastic bags containing alleged shabu weighing approximately 13.5 grams and valued at 93,636 pesos.

Alias ​​”Jomar” was arrested in Barangay Pinagbakahan, Malolos town, Bulacan. He had a heat-sealed transparent brick of dried leaves suspected to be marijuana weighing more or less a kilo worth 120,000 pesos and the redemption money.

Charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Section 2 of Republic Act 9165 are being prepared against the suspects.

Police Regional Bureau 3 Director Brig. General Cesar Pasiwen said the seizures have disrupted the illegal drug trade in the region. He called on the public to help reduce the impact of illicit drugs in communities by reporting suspicious or illegal activity to the police.
