3 arrested for drug trafficking in the town of Mabalacat

THREE people suspected of being involved in illegal drug use were arrested in an operation launched in the town of Mabalacat at dawn on Wednesday.

The arrested suspects, alias Boy, 61, married, alias Ate, 49, single, and alias Alvaro, 20, single, are all residents of 19th Street, Barangay Dau, in the town of Mabalacat, where the operation was conducted.

Authorities said all are included in the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Philippine National Police (PNP) unified watch list.

The said operation launched by the PDEA and the local police also resulted in the dismantling of the alleged drug lair.

The suspects surrendered eight sachets containing approximately 11 grams in the amount of 97 P900, various drug paraphernalia and the redemption money.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the arrested suspects.
