The mayor of the city of MABALACAT, Cris Garbo, assured that the local government’s campaign against prohibited drugs would continue in early 2022.
This, after the mayor and city anti-drug council received an award for the local government’s campaign against illegal drugs.
The award was presented by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Department of Home Affairs and Local Government (DILG).
The award was given in recognition of the exemplary efforts of the local government in carrying out its functions as a complement to the national government’s anti-illegal drugs.
Mabalacat City Anti-Drug Council chief Rowena Ocampo presented the award to Garbo in a ceremony on Tuesday, January 4.
Statistics show that over 90 percent of crimes are linked to illegal drugs.
