Gutoc underwent a voluntary drug test a week after Aksyon Demokratiko flag bearer Isko Moreno Domagoso and the party’s other bets for the 2022 election completed the same process last week.
Carl Balita, Gutoc’s party mate and another senatorial contender, said earlier that the Mindanaoan civic leader was unable to participate in the drug test last week because she was out of town.
The List and other politicians seeking a seat in the 2022 election have been undergoing voluntary drug testing since last week after President Rodrigo Duterte alleged that a presidential candidate is a known cocaine user .
Domagoso and Senate President Vicente Sotto III – who is running as a candidate for president – said earlier that candidates for public office should take their drug tests at PDEA instead of private clinics and hospitals .
