CITY OF BAGUIO – The Cordillera Regional Police Bureau (PROCor) said a total of 44 people were arrested in the region’s provinces from April 4 to April 30, resulting in the seizure and destruction of PHP 51 million worth of illegal drugs .
Capt. Marnie Abellanida, PROCor’s information officer, said in a statement Wednesday that a total of 44 drug personalities have been arrested for violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Drugs Act of 2002. dangerous.
Abellanida said the figures were arrested by different police units in the six provinces and two cities in the region.
He said 17 of them were listed as high value individuals, while 27 were listed as street level individuals.
In a telephone interview, Abellanida said, “a high value individual is a drug dealer who sells illegal drugs not only in a barangay or in a township, while a street level individual is one who sells in a single barangay”.
“The quantity sold does not matter but the extent of the area of operation of a drug seller,” he added.
The statement further states that the series of illegal drug operations produced 49.33 grams of shabu; 71.14 kilograms of dried marijuana leaves; 600 ml of marijuana oil; 148,180 fully grown marijuana plants; 6,848 marijuana plants, 5 kilos of marijuana seeds; and 108 kilos of dried marijuana stems.
He said the aggregate standard price of all illegal drugs confiscated and destroyed was PHP 51,897,156.
