Macabebe’s sting yields 370,000 pesos worth of illegal drugs


A suspected illegal drug trafficker brought in more than 300,000 pesos worth of illegal drugs in a trap operation recently launched in the city of Macabebe.

Pampanga Provincial Police Bureau Director Robin Sarmiento identified the arrested suspect as Macromar Nicodemus, a resident of Barangay Dau in Mabalacat town.

Sarmiento said Nicodemus is labeled as one of the high value individuals on the provincial police list.

Four sachets of varying sizes containing 55 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) were seized from the suspect; buy-bust money; a 38 caliber revolver with five live ammunition and other evidence.

Complaints of violations of Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act), violation of RA 10591 (illegal possession of firearms) and the Comelec resolution 10728 (electoral ban on firearms) will be filed against the suspect before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
