Police seized 1.6 million pesos of illegal drugs from four suspects as part of two separate bust-buying operations in Quezon City on Monday, November 15.
Police Lt. Col. Joewie Lucas, Commander of Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Station 5 (PS 5), identified the first three suspects as Leomar Guaves, 25; Mar Diangzon, 29 years old; and Arvin Pamintuan, 29. They all reside at Project 8, Quezon City.
Guaves is listed as a “regional priority target”, according to police.
PS 5 launched the trapping Monday outside a school on Commonwealth Ave. at Brgy. Greater Fairview at around 8:00 p.m. after a confidential informant reported suspects’ activities in the area.
They recovered from the suspects 200 grams of suspected shabu worth P 1,360,000, the purchase money and a cell phone.
Meanwhile, Police Major Wennie Ann Cale, chief of the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU), identified the fourth suspect as Bryan Garcia, 22, of Las Pinas City.
Garcia was arrested by DDEU agents on Ecol Street in Brgy. Commonwealth around 8:00 p.m.
Garcia donated two kilograms of suspected marijuana worth P 240,000, the buyout money and a cell phone used for drug trafficking.
The four suspects will be charged with violating Republic Law 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law 2002”.
