Haywood MPs seize pound of illegal drugs

Within 24 hours, Haywood County Sheriff’s Deputies seized more than a pound of illegal drugs, resulting in four arrests and multiple trafficking charges.

MPs carried out three separate vehicle checks on December 22 in Waynesville, Canton and Clyde and seized 573.4 grams of methamphetamine and fentanyl. A vehicle stop, in particular, was a joint effort with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office.

She was placed in the Haywood County Detention Center on a guaranteed bond of $ 100,000.

Keith Ellis is accused of:

  • Methamphetamine II trafficking
  • Trafficking in opium / heroin / fentanyl by possession II

He was taken to the Haywood County Detention Center on a guaranteed bond of $ 200,000.

David Forney is accused of:

  • Trafficking in opium / heroin / fentanyl II
  • Possession with intent to manufacture / sell / deliver Annex I
  • Possession for crime Schedule VI
